A vila tem valor: hierarquia e igualdade entre jovens de grupos populares participantes de políticas públicas na cidade de Londrina (PR)
In this thesis I analyse the way by witch youths of popular urban groups inserted in the public health policy in Londrina city (Paraná) constitute themselves as subjects through the reapropriation of igualitary and hierarchical values. In this ethnographic context, are present values related to the ideal of modern individualism (selfcontrol, discipline, rationalization of corporality for work, intense living of the present, among others) and values that are more relational (the importance given to solidarity bonds conected to friend and neighbor networks, for example). The analysis of these questions is based specially on the relations that the individuals establish with the State (conected here to public policy and to police) and between themselves, in witch I stress the categories of class and gender. I conclude that the subjects apropriete the values of modern individualism according to symbolic matrixes characteristic of the urban popular groups and to situations and contexts that are specific of their practical experiences.
