A PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF COGNITIVE WORK ANALYSIS:
TRANSFORMING A STATIC REPORT INTO AN INTERACTIVE INTERFACE

This paper describes how Cognitive Work Analysis was applied during the design and
development of the DARS Interactive Audit. Each of the five phases of Cognitive Work
Analysis is presented, with detailed accounts of how the standard process was adapted for
the domain. In conclusion, the software implementation resulting from Cognitive Work
Analysis is described.
