by Siegel, Norberto

Abstract (Summary)
This research wants to reflect about the ethics present in Xokleng people of ?Terras Indígenas Laklãnõ?, located in the municipal district of Vitor Meireles, José Boiteux, Itaiópolis and Doutor Pedrinho in the State of Santa Catarina. This research has a conception of ethics that intend to respect the diversity and the cultural plurality of different people, which come from influence of the European ethics (Socrates, Aristotle, Kant, Marx and Habermas) and Latin American (Enrique Dussel and Paulo Freire), having as reference the reciprocity on a dinamic education process of Xokleng People. In the globalized world, few of indigenous communities have been suffering some interference in their organization and survival, related to ethics and moral conceptions. We need to think and analyse the impacts and changes that have taken place along these years. Thus, this research follows descriptive and reflexive moments of European and Latin America thoughts which are related to an informal education of Xokleng People. It is a different reality from that established for European colonizers of Brazilian territory. For this reason, this research is qualitative and owns an ethnograph approach that faces with a different reality than that one used by European setters in the Brazilian land. Analysing and understanding the different behaviors of this community is a challenge of this research and willattend as basis to improve the relationship between indigenous community and the surrounded one
