Síntese, elucidação estrutural e atividade biológica de novos derivados imidazolidinônicos
Abstract (Summary)
Were obtained five new bioisosteres of 3-(4-bromo-benzyl)-5-benzylidene-2-thioxo-imidazolin-4-one and 5-benzylidene-3-[2-oxo-2-(4-bromo-phenyl)-ethyl]-2-thioxo-imidazolin-4-one series. The synthesis was done starting with 2-thioxo-imidazolin-4-one using Michael addition type reaction at 5-position of imidazolidinic ring with ethyl 2-cyane-phenyl-acrylates, then, they were submitted to substitution reaction at 3-position using substituted 4-bromo-benzyl or 4-bromo-phenacyl halide. The chemical structures of all compounds, including the intermediates, were confirmed by infrared, nuclear magnetic resonance and mass spectral data. The antiinflammatory activity was evaluated by carragenan induced paw edema air pouch model. The antinoceptive activity was done using writhing, formalin and hot plate test. The results suggest that tested molecules shown significant antiinflammatory and antinoceptive activity
