Conversão em comprimento de onda via modulação cruzada de ganho utilizando amplificador optico a semicondutor
Abstract (Summary)
All optical networks promise high performance with large capacity. In order to achieve this, all optical processing is required. Wavelength converters can offer many ways to carry out processing functions. A wavelength converter, based on cross gain modulation by semiconductor optical amplifier, is presented. Limitations and advantages are analyzed. Also, it is show how conversion bandwidth can be increased by SOA's built parameters.
