Turismo e desenvolvimento regional: o caso Oktoberfest de Blumenau-Santa Catarina
Abstract (Summary)
The dissertation "Tourism and regional development: the case Oktoberfest of Blumenau - Santa Catarina" had as objective to evaluate the interference of the Oktoberfest event in thedevelopment of Blumenau. The type of research was exploratory bibliographical at a first moment and later conclusive descriptive. It looked for to evaluate where the party contributed for the development of the blumenauense tourism, besides identifying positive and negativeaspects of the event. The process of development of the tourism of Blumenau is still distinguished, through the Oktoberfest and its implications in the regional development. One searched with the present work, to contribute for possible changes in the format of management of the event, where the envolvement of public and private initiatives, the direct community and that or indirectly can contribute, fortifies the development of a global and sustainable tourist activity, beyond the preservation of the culture and the tradition. It is argued that the Oktoberfest stimulates the socioeconomic development, contributing for generation of job and income, beyond the infrastructure creation that in such a way benefits the tourist that visits the city, as the local community, changedding each time more, in an important instrument of tourist development of Blumenau and region
