This thesis proposes to analyse, through qualitative research, the problem of sustainability and ?ecological conscience? in the Mato Grosso do Sul state, allied to Environment Law, especially related to economics activities such as agriculture, industry and tourism, observing the action of Public Administrative Departments. The analysis of the terminologies sustainability and ?ecological conscience?, which represent some concepts around sustainable development, is part of this thesis. Another important view in this area is related to Environment Law and all aspects that this idea brought, such as: principles, concepts and the vision of natural environment, all linked to the issue of state development focusing on sustainability and ?ecological conscience? in order to obtain life quality to actual and future generations
