The dates was collected by questionnaire and anthropometric measures and double entered with EPINFO 6.0 program, after converted to SPSS v. 13 software. The sample characteristics were showed for the descriptive statistic; the relationships between two variables were analyzed for the crude logistic regression, and the multivariate analysis was made by adjusted odds ratio, following the hierarquic model proposed. The LPA and TPA prevalences was 25,8% and 80,5%, respectively. Only 31,1% of TPAs had a normal BMI, whereas 47% are above of ideal weight and 21,9% show obesity. The TPA?s WHR is 34,0%, 46,2%, 14,3% and 5,5% to low, moderate, high and very high risks, respectively, to develop diseases related to fat in abdomen. In bivariada analysis the AFL was inversely associated with age, alcohol intake more than once a week and to answer inducely about the importance of spaces to PA practice, importance of PA to socialization and relaxing. TPA was negatively associated with age and be classified like inactive in harbor job. Overweight was positively associated with active TPAs in leisure time. After adjusts, LPA remain negatively associated with age, alcohol intake more than once a week and answer inducely about the importance of PA to relaxing. TPAs youngers, be classified like active in harbor job and answer spontaneously about the importance of Physical Education Professional to PS have more chances to be actives in AFT. The results shown the need of education campaigns realization with TPAs, to respect of importance and advantages of PA practice to PS, mainly in leisure time, where we have a intensity, duration and frequency better control.
