O capital social em Apuarema, Nova Ibiá, Piraí doNorte e Presidente Tancredo Neves (Bahia): análise dasdimensões cívica e institucional.
Abstract (Summary)
This research follows the necessity to identify some factors that contribute to the development of four communities in the federate ? state of Bahia in Brazil. To reach that goal, this dissertation describes and analyses the social capital in four municipalities of Bahia (Apuarema, Nova Ibiá, Piraí do Norte and Presidente Tancredo Neves), based on their civic and institutional dimensions. This research also intents to analyse aspects of the ?Programa Fome Zero? and its possible influence in the development of the social capital in the municipalities under study following the theory of Robert Putnam about social capital and its indicators developed by the author in his studies about Modern Italy. The qualitative and descriptive research is the adopted methodology and shows, as its results, the situation of the municipalities under study, related to the civil and institutional dimensions and Programa Fome Zero?s aspects that may have added value to the social capital of the four municipalities.
