Metodologia para estimativa do potencial de conservação de energia eletrica residencial pelo uso de coletores solares planos em uma região e sua aplicação na cidade de Campinas

Abstract (Summary)
It is presented a methodology that allows to estimate of conservation potential of electric power in a region for the use of Domestic Solar Heat Water (DSHW). The methodology uses basically both economic and climatological indexes, it was also used the application of questionnaires in the involved sectors (makers, distributors and consumers of DSHW) and basic techniques of survey. Starting from the number of heating solar systems, it can be estimated of conservation potential of electric power. Then, The methodology was applied in Campinas city (SP) which could have almost 2,800 heating systems until the end of 1995, with 20,000 m2 of total surface. For heating systems of 7 m2 it was estimated a conservation potential of 1.2 MW. 1t was considered that the basin of Piracicaba and Capivari rivers would have 9,300 households with heating solar systems, which represents an avoided power of 4 MW
