Identifying value in instructional production systems : mapping the value stream /
Abstract (Summary)
Explores how the value stream mapping process used in the manufacturing industry might be adjusted for use with instructional production systems. Value stream is the set of all actions required to take a product from concept design to a finished product in the hands of the customer; value stream mapping uses process analysis techniques such as flow diagrams, process charts, time-function mapping, and work-flow analysis to identify the actions involved in a product's value stream.
