Financiamento e desenvolvimento local: um estudo sobre arranjos produtivos

Assuming that money is an important factor over real economic processes, it becomes extremely important to analyze how credit availability and the financial systems development affect the dynamics of the regions. By taking this perspective into account, the purpose of this work is to study the relations that exist among monetary variables, some local financial indexes and the degree of industrial concentration of Brazilian clusters. To measure such relation we have used two different quantitative methods: the multiple correspondence analysis (HOMALS), which establishes a relation between the variables levels, allowing us to group up individuals according to their own data values; and a panel data analysis, which computes a causal relation between financial determinants and the clusters industrial concentration.
