Effets de la coupe avec la protection des petites tiges marchandes (CPPTM) et de la coupe avec la protection de la haute régénération et des sols (CPHRS) sur la faune de la pessière noire à mousses de l'Est
Abstract (Summary)
In this study, we tested wildlife responses to harvesting rétention with protection of small
merchantable stems (CPPTM) and the harvesting with protection of high régénération
(CPHRS) comparatively to clear-cutting with protection of régénération and soils (CPRS)
in the boréal forest. Bird assemblages and small mammals results showed that rétention
cutting can lightly mitigate changes observed after CPRS. Specifically, some typically
uncut forest species are maintained in CPPTM and CPHRS. Moreover, we rejected the
hypothesis that CPHRS and CPPTM can support similar bird assemblages and form
équivalent habitats to CPRS who growth up at 3 or 7 meters high, used in time and space
cutting repartition.
