E-business som organisatorisk förändring : en studie av mognad och genomförandeprocess
The purpose of the thesis was to measure e-business maturity in several organisations.
Furthermore our ambition was to find out what was significant for a successful
implementation of e-business in an organization. We used a descriptive approach during
the research through literature studies and qualitative research methods by interviews.
To be able to analyze the empirical material we developed two models specifically for
our research area; one for maturity and one for strategic analysis. We chose to focus
solely on organisations where a transformation from traditional business to e-business
had occurred. The result suggested the five businesses fulfilled the demands we
stipulated for the phase
in our maturity model. The study
provided several examples of our model's seven organisational change dimensions.
Nevertheless the research inferred that a strategy model had not been used in the
transformation and that the e-strategy and business goals were not integrated. In
addition a reoccurring factor was the senior management who did not participate
actively in the planning and development.
