Desenvolvimento de uma arquitetura microcontrolada para tratamento de sinais biológicos
Abstract (Summary)
According to World Health Organization (WHO), in the 2000 were registered 177 million diabetes cases and 3.2 million deaths caused for its complications (approximately six deaths in each minute). All this situation, however, could be sufficiently different if some treatment and prevention techniques were practiced. Among these, the self-monitoring of blood glucose levels is distinguished, that generally is carried through by portable devices known as glucometers.These facts had motivated the construction of this project: the portable device prototype used in measurement the patients blood glucose levels. This information is found from the study of some electric signals generated from the electrochemical reactions established between glucose molecules, contained in patients blood samples under analysis, and some reacting elements contained in the biologicalmonitoring unit used together with this device, known as biosensor
