IMPLICAÇÕES DAS NOVAS TECNOLOGIAS NA ORGANIZAÇÃO DO TRABALHO: UMA VISÃO DO ALUNO-TRABALHADOR DA UCPEL
Abstract (Summary)
In the latest decades, the diffusion of new technologies of production and workmanagement has been pointed out as the base for a new production pattern. The newtechnologies supported by microelectronics and new forms and organizational system ofhuman activity have been radically modifying this presupposition of mass production, both in the textile universe and in a broader economy, intervening directly in the workrelationship. The changes in the organizations lives and in the world of work arebaffling, allowing them to keep a high level of flexibility in terms of human resources. This allows the companies to face the oscillations of a market which is more and moreglobalized and competitive, adapting and retracting in accordance with the situation. Onthe other hand, this reality presents its negative side, because it causes insecurity amongthe workers, mainly among the ones who are being highly affected by unemploymentand professional frustration: the young, the older and those who are underqualified. Thisthesis makes a bibliographical analysis of technology, patterns and organizational formsof work, comparing the situation prior to the introduction of the new technologies withthe present. Still, it observes the required profile, the insecurities of these generationsregarding the possibilities in the work market, in the job, and the role of education andthe knowledge focusing the tendencies of this new productive paradigm. The workpresents the results of the field research done at Universidade Católica de Pelotas, encircling student-workers from different city organizations; it investigates andevaluates, through the interviewed level of satisfaction, the multiple aspects that involvethis new scenario, since the youngs are directly involved in this process. Taking theseaspects into consideration, it can be observed that the student-workers are perceivingnot only the requirements involving this scenario, but also the changes and actions thathave been implemented by the University and the organizations, aiming at fulfilling thedemands of the new work organization
