A Comprehensive Case Review of Missoula County Sheriffs Office
Case#85-09102
Chair: Dr. Randall R. Skelton
The goal of this project is to utilize data and means at my disposal to conduct a comprehensive case study of unidentified remains in custody of the Missoula County Sheriffs Office and offer professional opinions on the story the remains have to tell. Those opinions and estimations will include such information that falls within the four pillars of anthropological protocol: biological sex, ancestry, age, and stature. This will generate a biological profile which is a critical first step in any assessment of skeletal remains. This will be accomplished by again utilizing a standard protocol consisting of visually assessing individual skeletal morphological features, taking physical measurements and applying those criteria to data sets already in use.
