Comparison and analysis of special education in the United States and Japan [electronic resource] /

by Murakami, Yui.

Abstract (Summary)
ABSTRACT: Education is a fundamental right that should be extended to all people. Until recently, however, children with disabilities have not always enjoyed this right. In the last several decades, the progress of special education has accelerated at a global level due to increased knowledge about disabilities, the evolution of perspectives of disabilities, and the empowerment of those with disabilities. It is important that educators have a global view of education to contribute to the further improvement of special education and increased opportunities for those with disabilities.
