Antes da cena, o treinamento: o trabalho do ator nos bastidores de si mesmo

by Macedo Fernandes, Hirton de

Abstract (Summary)
The present work proposes to study the role of pre-scenic training in the work of the actor, searching to reveal the elements that constitute its material bases. For that, it searches conceptual references in Theatre Anthropology, defined by Eugenio Barba as " the study of human being in situation of organized performance". Our investigation looks for support at the mainly knowledge on the art of the actor produced at the Theaterlaboratories, by the called Reformers of the Theatre of the Twentieth Century. Learning, organization and transmission of the acquaintance are essential themes that cross inside this research about the "intimacy" of the art of performing in theatre and of the actor who looks for concrete parameters for developing his work. The whole work of the actor - body and mind integrated - includes the cultural dimension of the human experience. The relation with the notion of scenic bios, in the way we consider it, is in agreement with the comprehension that exists two different levels of organization in the work of the actor: the pre-expressive and the expressive, that correspond, respectively, to the work of the actor on himself and the work of the actor on the character. The notion of Self, as Carl Gustav Jung contexts it, indicates me, even preliminarily in this work, some possible conceptual tools, required when it is necessary to deal, more in detail, with the dynamic of the subjectivity in the work of the actor.
