Abstract (Summary)Title: Pricing in Computer service businesses Level: Final assignment for Bachelor Degree in Business Administration Author: Joan Helsing Supervisor: Stig Sörling Date: 200806 Aim: The reason that I chose too write about pricing in Computer service businesses is that I have worked in that business. I saw obvious faults in the business I worked in. I want too give businesses like this a tool too breed a common understanding for pricing and I do this with the creation of a model. Method: I use a hermeneutic perspective with qualitative interviews. I use both primary data and secondary data too create the model and too analyze the companies. I’m presenting this in a logical and chronological manner as the work progress. Result & Conclusions: The result of my work is a model that can be used by smaller Computer service businesses. The model is not a tool that can be used recklessly, it should be used more like a catalyzer for work with pricing. I believe that the model give a crash course in pricing. Suggestions for future research: If I was too continuing working with pricing I would expand my model too get more perspective then I have. It would be interesting too see a model that is not based on Kotlers thesis. Contribution of the thesis: I think my work is excellent for new students who don’t understand the foundations of pricing. The model makes it fast and simple too learn the pricings foundation from Kotlers perspective.
